In My Mailbox (2)

In My Mailbox is a weekly bookish meme hosted by the Story Siren. The Story Siren
I found that having an 'in my mailbox' meme and trying to comit to updating it every Sunday meant that I was on the look out for books just to blog about. Since I'm not doing a book blog and I have to buy them, it could have been a very unhealthy move for my bank balance, so I haven't posted an 'in my mailbox' since the first one. (Yes, there is a but).

BUT (see) when I was down at the conference in Essex with limited internet access I did visit the University bookshop. I was surprised to find that it was a Waterstones. In my experience, they tend to be John Smith's or Blackwells. Anyway, I got this while I was there:
I'm quite excited about it, particuarly the first essay 'Unruly Alice: A Feminist View of Some Adventures in Wonderland'. As you might have been able to tell from my previous post I'm a little bit - let's not say obsessed, let's say infatuated - by Alice in Wonderland.

There are other titles in the series, some of which seem equally exciting and now I have a whole load of new books to add to my wishlist.

  1. I love books that dive deeper into my favorite things. A Buffy one would be great too!

  2. Twilight and Philosophy sounds interesting! I've heard a lot about this philosophy series, but I have yet to read anything from it. Twilight and Philosophy is now on my TBR list.

    Enjoy! :)

  3. Book Sake: It turns out there is one, although it doesn't show up as one of the titles in my copy of Alice. It's called 'Fear and Trembling in Sunnydale'.

Kelly: It's on mine too, I'm worried for my bank balance after finding this series.
