This is what my house looks like...well except
that you can still see the floor.
Hi everybody! Thank you to everyone who commented on my last post, I got some good advice and lots of support about the 'ol blog. I'm going to reform my blogging schedule and post on Mondays and Wednesdays at least. Mondays will be for any regular features like Confessoins of a Justified Bibliophile or the Writers Platform Building Crusade and Wednesdays will be a 'whatever's on my mind' kind of day.

Having just said that, my next Confessions... isn't ready to go today, so I'm going to start my newly reformed blog by ignroing my schedule.

In case you haven't guessed, a combination of work, PhD and the close of submissions for New Writing Dundee has meant that I've neglected my duties as a blogger, and today it's just a quick post to get back into the swing of things and tell you about some awesone stuff going on.

First I want to mention New Writing Dundee and my PhD (again). The ticker countdown has gone from the top of the blog and submission have now closed. We have under 300 public submissions to sort through and I hope some of the wonderfull writers from the blogosphere are amongst them. So now that all fo the submissions are processed, I'm going to be adding a new ticker - for my THESIS FIRST CHAPTER (yes it deserves capitals) on the 31st August. I want a good countdown ticker with a counter for my word count - can anyone reccomend one?

I'm also way behind on my 100 Books in 2011 challenge and I'm finding choosing the next boke to read for this hard. As you can see from over there <== I tend to read a lot of stuff by the same authors, and I'm not adversed to reading self-published authors so if anyonehas any recomendations for what to read next, I'm all ears.

The other thing is that my friend Rachel Marsh is teaching a couple of courses for Shortbread in Dundee and Spain. You can ceck out the details on either of the links above. Nothing is confirmed, but yours truly might be making an apperance on the 8th May. Besides that, the courses have some great tutors and I reccomend them highly to anyone who can make it along.

See y'all on Wednesday for 'whatever'.

  1. My house looks like that too. You can still see the floor...in some rooms anyway.
